Comments: I could not believe how huge this hat was before I washed it. I had to run it through the washing machine 4 or 5 times to get it this small. On the last two washes I put an old pair of jeans in with the hat and that seemed to help a lot.

Comments: The pattern called for 700 yards of this yarn, but I ended up using more like 500 yards. This is not a very good picture obviously, because the yarn is a dark blue/black combo. This shows it on my wooly board.

Comments: I bought two skeins of this yarn at Stitches Midwest 2000 (I can't remember which booth) but I ran out of yarn. I got another skein to finish the toes from someone in England after I put out an SOS on the Knitlist (again, can't remember her name, but I was very thankful!). These socks will be sent to the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
