Project Name: Wonderful
Wallaby
Designer: Carol Anderson
Pattern Source: Cottage Creations Booklet
Yarn: Wendy Velvet Touch
Yarn Source: Needlework Unlimited
Date Started: 10/25/02
Date Completed: 1/4/03
Comments: I decided to give this to my friend Nikki, who had a
beautiful little baby boy. I really like this yarn - it's nice and soft like the
Plush, but at a finer gauge. I did run into a few knots though.

Project Name: Museum
Sweater
Designer: Ros Badger & Elaine Scott
Pattern Source: Little Badger Knitwear
Yarn: Rowan Denim
Yarn Source: Needlework Unlimited
Date Started: 10/15/02
Date Completed: 1/12/03
Comments: I knit this for one of my Book Club mates, who just had a
little boy. Denim Rowan yarn is supposed to behave like denim - it fades and
gets softer over time. It also is supposed to shrink after the first wash. It
did fade and got a little softer, but not much. The yarn crocked all over my
fingers and the wooden knitting needle. It did not shrink at all, though, so
it's way too long. I washed it again in my brother's washing machine, then again
in my machine and it did shrink a little more, but still not as much as it was
"supposed" to. I forgot to take a picture before I gave it away. I've
noticed when I'm not happy with how something turns out, I forget to take
pictures. Paging Dr. Freud....

Purse
Designer: Kathleen Day
Pattern Source: Fiona's Friends Kit
Yarn: Cotton
Yarn Source: Bought kit at Stitches Midwest 2001 - not sure who the
vendor was
Date Started: 1/12/03
Date Completed: 1/15/03
Comments: This is a super cute and easy little purse. I knit one for a
friend's daughter's birthday and filled it with chocolate coins and another for
my niece's birthday and filled it with Hershey's kisses.

Pattern Source: Knit It 2002
Yarn: Lion Brand Kool Wool
Yarn Source: Got some of the skeins from Jo-Ann, Etc. and some from

Date Completed: 1/28/03
Comments: I originally made this scarf for my sister, Laura, but she
decided it was just too much for her - it's about 9 feet long. I really liked
it, so I told her to send it back to me. I used the remaining yarn to make a
matching hat. I forgot to take a picture before dropping it in the mail, but
when I get it back, I'll take one and post it here.
