Project Name: Slipped
Stitch Cuffs That Won't Socks
Designer: Lorraine Ehrlinger
Pattern Source: Socks, Socks, Socks
Yarn: Brown Sheep Wildfoote
Yarn Source: Depth of Field, Minneapolis
Date Started: 1/17/01
Date Completed: 3/1/01
Comments: I originally bought this yarn to make my argyle sock for
the TKGA Master Knitter's program. I ran out of the green yarn, so the Knitlist
once again came to the rescue - someone (again forgot the name, but I am grateful!)
sent me their leftover so I could finish the toe - I was barely short of yarn
since I used white yarn to do the ribbing that is under the slipped stitch cuff.
These socks will also be going to the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South
Dakota.

Project Name: Beaded
Amulet Bag
Designer:
Pattern Source: Handout at Yarnover 2001
Yarn: DMC perle cotton size 8, seed beads, size 11/0
Yarn Source: Class materials
Date Started: 3/29/01
Date Completed: 3/29/01
Comments: The Minnesota Knitter's Guild has an annual conference
called Yarnover - like Stitches, but obviously on a smaller scale. I took a
class on bead knitting and made this amulet bag. I loved it and it's my new
favorite gift to make. I have since made several others and plan on making quite
a few for Christmas. I slip a "magic stone" inside the bag as well -
these are polished glass "stones" with a word such as
"serenity" or "romance" etched on it. If you hold the stone
close to you or concentrate on it, you will receive the thing on the stone. I
have gotten additional supplies at Needlework Unlimited in Minneapolis, Bead
Monkey in St. Paul and Hobby Lobby in Sioux Falls, SD. Picture to follow.
